Seven years after the events of Drishyam, Vijay Salgaonkar and his family are leading a peaceful existence. Vijay’s elder daughter Anju, suffers from PTSD over her part in Sam’s murder and has frequent episodes of epilepsy.
Jealous of the families rise in wealth, many locals have resorted to spreading rumors about Anju being in a relationship with Sam, much to Nandini’s distress. Nandini forms a close bond with her friendly neighbor Jenny, a government clerk, who is constantly abused by her alcoholic husband Shiv, a real estate broker.
Tarun Ahlawat, the newly appointed IG, who happens to be a close friend of Meera, reopens the case and enlists the help of PI Vinayak Sawant and former Sub Inspector Gaitonde, who vows to get revenge on Vijay for getting him suspended.
